A simple and serene years of 1910, a group of friends namely Mariano Hernandez, Sixto Cruz, Alejo Santos and Cayetano Dela Cruz discussed the possibility of having a public elementary school in Barrio Don Galo. They went around for a possible site and found one. They approached the owner, a certain Mr. Quiogue, and told him their plan agreed to sell his 4000 sq. m lot at fifty centavos per sq. m. The civic-minded friends pulled out their resources and did some soliciting to pay the agreed amount to Mr. Quiogue. When this was done, in a true Filipino Bayanihan Spirit, the construction of the Don Galo Primary School began in 1912. Thus, in 1915, the simple thatched hut school was finally erected. The jubilation of the barrio folks was awakened such that the late Mr. & Mrs. Constantino Factor Sr. donated tha adjacent 1,018 sq. m. to the  school.

The Don Galo Primary School opened its doors to the public in 1918. Soon complete elementary education has been offered. And in 1997, the secondary courses were also offered which occupied the other two-storey Bagong Lipunan Building. Read more..
